Twenty-two Doniphan-Trumbull FFA members attended the 98th annual Nebraska State FFA Convention on March 25th-27th. Below are some of the highlights:
-Students competed in various contests throughout the convention. The Ag Sales team received a blue ribbon as a team. Preston Sjuts received a purple ribbon and 10th place as an individual. Brayden Rader received a blue ribbon. Jon Kovanda received a white ribbon. In the Agriscience competition Kendall Posey received a blue ribbon. In the Environmental and Natural Resources competition the team received a red ribbon. Hunter Fowler received a blue ribbon. Riley Bishop received a red ribbon. In the Welding competition the Preston Sjuts and Nolan Dzingle received a red ribbon.
- In Extemporaneous Speaking Preston Sjuts earned 5th place overall.
- Preston Sjuts, Rylen Soundy, Turner Happold, Taylor McDole, Jon Kovanda, and Trevin Huebner all received their State FFA Degree, which is the highest award the State FFA Association can bestow upon an Nebraska FFA member.
- All D-T FFA members participated in a Leadership Academy, a tour of Beck's Hybrid Seed Co., met with a Nebraska native National FFA officer, and explored a college and career expo inside Pinnacle Bank Arena. They did this all while competing in various contests.
