Lightning delay in Kearney with Cards down at halftime. At the initial delay the officials said it would be 9:20pm before the players would be allowed back on the field to warm up. After the last lightning strike it is 30 minutes before teams can be back on the field. If lightning occurs at 9:15 pm it's likely 30 minutes from that time. Game officials make the call on the safety of the playing field.

Doniphan-Trumbull Public School Announces Free and Reduced Meals Application for the 2023-24 School Year
Doniphan-Trumbull Public School is pleased to announce the availability of the Free and Reduced Meals Application for the upcoming 2023-24 school year. The application demonstrates Nebraska and the school’s commitment to ensuring that every student has access to nutritious meals, regardless of their financial circumstances. This program is an essential part of our mission to serve every student in a safe and positive learning environment.
The Free and Reduced Meals Application is open to all eligible families within the Doniphan-Trumbull Public School district. Families are encouraged to apply if they believe they meet the income eligibility guidelines. Eligibility for free or reduced-price meals is determined based on household size and income, and all information submitted on the application is kept confidential.
"Supporting students and families to obtain nourishing meals is a fundamental responsibility of our school district," said Jeremy Braden, Superintendent of Doniphan-Trumbull Public School. "We understand that financial challenges should never stand in the way of a child's access to a well-balanced meal. The Free and Reduced Meals program is designed to ensure that all students can focus on their education without worrying about their next meal. We will support families as they need it to complete the application."
The benefits of participating in the Free and Reduced Meals program extend beyond the cafeteria. Proper nutrition plays a vital role in students' physical and cognitive development, impacting their ability to concentrate, learn, and excel academically.
Families interested in applying for the Free and Reduced Meals program can obtain the application from the Doniphan-Trumbull Public School website at [https://www.dtcardinals.org/page/cardinal-dinner], or by visiting the school office at 302 West Plum, Doniphan, NE. The application process is quick and straightforward, and assistance is available for those who need help completing the form.
The school district encourages all eligible families to submit their applications as soon as possible to ensure a smooth transition into the 2023-24 school year.
For more information about the Free and Reduced Meals Application for the 2023-24 school year, please contact Shawna Williams (swilliams@dtcardinals.org) and Trisha VanDiest (tvandiest@dtcardinals.org) in the District Office at 402-845-2282.
