📢On Tuesday, November 14th, residents of Doniphan-Trumbull Public School will vote on a bond issue representing the first in 40 years. If approved, D-T will move ahead with a series of projects at D-T Public School.
These projects include:
1️⃣Significant upgrades to safety, communication, and security
2️⃣Improved learning spaces to enhance the CORE and CAREER READY education environment for students
➡️All classrooms under 1 roof - no modular buildings
➡️Classrooms for 10 career pathways currently in closets or storage rooms,
➡️15 NEW classrooms and 4 additional renovated spaces creating 4 more classrooms
➡️New science classrooms
➡️Larger, updated shop and ag learning spaces to accommodate more students, more hands-on learning opportunities, updated equipment, and new ag partnerships.
3️⃣Improved fine arts facilities with better sound systems, lighting, and seating.
4️⃣Improved and updated operations to provide a healthy and safe learning environment.
5️⃣Addition of a roughly 1800-seat competition gym if proposition 2 is passed
💵An approved bond would have a property tax impact of $2.05 per year on every $1000 assessed property value. For example, a property of $100,000 would see a property tax increase of about $205.07 per year.

The D-T Bond Election is focused on ACADEMIC NEEDS. It will build 15 new classrooms, and create an additional 4 more learning spaces focused on CORE areas of learning and CAREER! So many students are succeeding in both areas at D-T. #TheCardinalWay #VoteNov14
Doniphan-Trumbull Ag Education Department took 27 students to compete in the South Central Land Evaluation Contest on Wed. Oct. 4th at Brader’s Barn in Glenvil NE. Rylen Sounds(light blue shirt )and Cody DeFeo (blue shirt) worked on evaluating the slope on one of the four fields.
Preston Sjuts is looking over his Capability chart to determine the land class before making recommendations on how to manage the land.

The upcoming school bond special election for D-T addresses facility needs in the area of safety for kids!
The proposed design and solution create a fully enclosed facility with secure entrances and better drop-off flow; updated security and communication systems throughout the school. No more walking outside to attend classes in modulars or classes in closets.

You are invited to learn more about the upcoming bond election to impact Doniphan-Trumbull’s educational system through the first major building improvements in 40 years. Proposition 1 would provide for additions and renovations to improve all parts of the PreK-12 building, add classrooms, and eliminate the modulars with a bond not to exceed $22.8 million. Proposition 2 provides for a competition gym and locker room at an amount not to exceed $9.3 million. Proposition 2 can only be enacted if Proposition 1 passes.
