🎓 Cardinal Community Newsletter — May Edition 🎓
The latest Cardinal Community Newsletter is here, and it's packed with exciting news as we wrap up an incredible 2025–26 school year!
📚 ACADEMIC WINS
Our Cardinals finished strong! First grade posted an 18-point jump in reading benchmarks (71% → 89%), third grade hit 93% in reading, and Kindergarten had 97% of students at or above benchmark. Multiple grade levels are already meeting the district's 26/27 proficiency goal of 80%.
🎓 CLASS OF 2026 — A LEGACY OF LEADERSHIP
Congratulations to our graduating class! Their accomplishments include:
• 33 students earning college credits while still in high school
• 5 conference championship teams
• State champions in Boys Cross Country, Dance, and more
• National qualifiers in FBLA, HOSA, and FFA
• 19 National Honor Society members
🏫 LOOKING AHEAD: 2026–27 SCHOOL YEAR
• First Day of School: August 13, 2026
• Preschool First Day: August 19, 2026
• New meal prices approved — still at or below the ESU 9 regional average
• Kindergarten Registration is OPEN for children turning 5 on or before July 31
📅 KEY DATES
• Aug 13 — First Day of School
• Dec 21–Jan 4 — Winter Break
• May 8 — Senior Graduation
• May 20 — Last Day of School
