The September 2026 edition of the Cardinal Community Newsletter has been sent to families by email and is now posted on our website. This issue features:
9/11 Memorial Activity: Students in PreK through 12th grade formed a living American flag, made possible by generous community partners.
Bond Election Update: The first of a four-part series explains the new $17.5 million proposal on the November 3 ballot, along with community meeting dates in October.
Parent-Teacher Conferences: PK–6 conferences are September 30 and October 1 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, with online sign-up new this year. There is no school October 1 and 2.
Academic Growth: 94% of first graders and 93% of third graders met their MAP growth projections last year.
Band Success: The DT Band marched at the Nebraska State Fair and earned 2nd place at UNK Band Day.
Homecoming 2026: Congratulations to King Brayden Rader and Queen Hailey Knott.
Recognitions: August Students of the Month, Cardinal Way nominees, Staff Spotlights, and Teacher of the Month Mrs. Dyer.
