Doniphan-Trumbull Public Schools is proud to share its District Strategic Scorecard — the first public display of a strategic framework that has driven efforts across four pillars of decision-making for the past four years. While the scorecard is a new public-facing tool, the data collection, goal-setting, and continuous improvement efforts behind it are not new. District leaders have been engaged in this work since the 2021-2022 school year, and what families, staff, and community members are seeing for the first time is the organized, transparent expression of work that has already been well underway. The scorecard is built around four pillars of progress:

  • 📚  Student Achievement — Providing quality learning opportunities that drive continuous improvement for every student

  • 🤝  Service — Delivering high-quality support and communication to all stakeholders

  • 🛡️  Safety — Maintaining a safe and positive environment for students, families, and the broader community

  • ⭐  People — Building and retaining a community of high-character staff who continuously grow

Where applicable, each pillar connects to five-year school improvement goals aligned with Nebraska Department of Education accreditation standards, as well as annual SMART goals that keep the district's work focused and measurable. As Studer (2026) describes, scorecards consist of the aims, measurable goals, and key strategic actions that leaders apply to drive positive outcomes — communicating not just what D-T is working toward, but how progress is being measured and what actions are being taken to get there. This is the scorecard update prior to the start of the 2026-2027 school year. The next release will follow fall assessments and will be shared publicly in October 2026.
