June 11, 2025—Doniphan-Trumbull Public Schools has released the updated meal prices for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. While rising food costs have necessitated a slight price increase, the district and school board remain committed to supporting families by implementing a minimal adjustment. Families can upload funds anytime via the Infinite Campus website or their Parent Portal App.
Effective from the start of the academic year, the revised meal prices will ensure that students continue to receive nutritious and balanced meals while accommodating the challenges posed by escalating food expenses. Our 2024-2025 school year student meal prices were below the ESU 9 average.
The "Cardinal Diner" is the food service division of the Doniphan-Trumbull Public School. Our main office is located at 302 W. Plum. The Cardinal Diner operates within guidelines set forth by the United States Department of Agriculture through the Child Nutrition Program, administered by the State of Nebraska Department of Education. Therefore, federal, state, and local regulations govern our food service programs. Remember, the Salad Bar comes with the meal!
The updated meal prices for the 2025-2026 school year are as follows:

Applications and information about the program can be obtained from the school offices or the district's website here: https://www.dtcardinals.org/page/cardinal-diner
The decision to adjust the meal prices has been made after carefully considering the current economic landscape and the challenges faced by the district and families. By implementing a modest increase, Doniphan-Trumbull Public Schools aims to strike a balance between maintaining the quality of meals and supporting the financial well-being of its community.
The district remains committed to offering healthy and nutritious meals that contribute to its students' overall well-being and academic success. Doniphan-Trumbull Public Schools values the continued support and understanding of its students, families, and community members as it navigates the evolving landscape of education and food services.
