The Doniphan-Trumbull Board of Education formally recognized senior Turner Happold at their regular May meeting for his groundbreaking win at the State FFA Competition.
During the May 12th meeting, board members commended Happold for becoming the first student in school history to advance to the National FFA Competition. Turner’s efforts earned him the state winner in Equine Science Proficiency and the first DT student to compete at nationals! His supervised ag experience focuses on breeding top-tier quarter horses and training pro rope horses.
The Board emphasized how his achievement distinguishes the district's agricultural education program and highlights the school's commitment to excellence in all educational areas, including agricultural sciences.
