The Doniphan-Trumbull School District is Accepting Preschool Applications for the 2022-2023 School Year

The Doniphan-Trumbull Public School currently offers one half day morning and one full day preschool program free of charge to families living within the school district. Both programs are Monday through Friday and follow the Doniphan-Trumbull School calendar.

The half day morning preschool program is for children age 3 on or before July 31, 2022. It is taught by one certified early childhood teacher and one paraprofessional with a maximum class size of 16. Children attend from 7:50  a.m. to 11:00 a.m.. Breakfast is provided free of charge. If you live on a regular bus route, preschool children may ride the bus before school. Seat belts are installed in buses to ensure safe transportation. If families cannot make transportation arrangements at 11:00, the school district will transport children home.

The full day preschool program is for children age 4 on or before July 31, 2022. It is also taught by one certified early childhood teacher and one paraprofessional with a maximum class size of 16. Children attend from 7:50 a.m. to 3:35 p.m.. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks are provided free of charge. A daily rest time is also provided. If you live on a regular bus route, preschool children may ride the bus before and after school. Seat belts are installed in buses to ensure safe transportation.

Based on current enrollment numbers and the number of students on our wait list, the Doniphan-Trumbull School Board is in the process of determining the feasibility of expanding our preschool program. If you are interested in having your 3 or 4 year old child attend the Doniphan-Trumbull Preschool program, please contact the elementary office and request an enrollment packet or call Nancy Niles at 402-845-2730 for more information. Enrollment information received by January 31st will help the board to determine if there is a need for an additional preschool building and sections to better meet the needs of families in our communities.
