6th Annual Dodgeball a Success
2012 Dodgeball a Success
Doniphan-Trumbull Student Council hosted its 6th Annual Make-A-Wish Dodge ball tournament on Saturday, March 24th. Nineteen area teams competed in an effort to raise money for the foundation.
"Thank you to all the faculty, students, and community members for their continued support of our Dodge ball tournament and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. It is always nice to see surrounding area towns and past graduates coming back to participate, and it is especially rewarding to see so many people having fun for such a great cause," says sponsor Mandy Buderus.
Each team competed in a double elimination tournament. Team B.N.S., led by D-T's Ian A., defeated the Sand Huskies, forcing the Sand Huskies to work their way through the consolation bracket to only meet team B.N.S. again in the third place match. This time the Sand Huskies, led by D-T's Cam S., earned a place in the championship game against the undefeated Grand Island team Ron Burgundy and The Channel 4 News, who kept their pristine record to win the tournament.
The following teams earned medals in this year's tournament:

FIRST PLACE: Ron Burgundy and the Channel 4 News
(Travis S., Max A., Adam W., Ryan H., AJ R., TJ G.)

SECOND PLACE: Sand Huskies
(Jake R., Max L., Cam S., Heath M., German F., & Nolan K.)

THRID PLACE: B.N.S. (Bro Night Special)
(Ian A., Aaron E., Reid S., Ben K., Joe D., & Blake T.)
The tournament was again a success grossing around $800 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
