Chili Cook-Off
On Thursday, January 19th, the senior Foods class had their annual Chili Cook-Off. This year there were twelve groups and the students were able to pick their own partners. The main guidelines to be followed were that they needed a theme and select a recipe. It was preferred that the chili be a family-favorite recipe or one that the students had tried before the contest. Each group was given about a week to make all their plans: pick a recipe, a theme, how they'd decorate for their theme, and so forth. Bowling (Not School Sponsored)
This year the Doniphan-Trumbull Bowling team has numerous new members and consists of 9 players. The boys bowling members are Nate, John, Tyler, and returning member, Chandler. The girls bowling team members are Teri, Cece, Gaby and returning members Abby and Kayla. The coaches are Morgan for the girls, Curt for the guys, and Jarold for both.

TEAMMATEs Basketball Event
"Go Broncos!!" That was the cheer coming from students and mentors of the Doniphan-Trumbull TeamMates program who traveled to a Hastings College men’s basketball game on January 8th. Eleven mentors and 15 students were able to attend. The Sandy Creek TeamMates chapter joined up with us with 14 students and 9 mentors. We enjoyed a pizza party and an autograph session with the HC men’s basketball team before the game. Coach Lance Creech talked to us about the importance of trying our best and keeping our grades up in school. . . .
