It is a pleasure to introduce Doniphan-Trumbull Elementary to you. Doniphan-Trumbull’s staff works hard to meet the needs of all learners. Teachers build lessons that the learning experience of the learner to be intentional and purposeful. The building’s climate is warm, caring, friendly, and loving to students, parents, and community.

The student body includes children from preschool through sixth grade. Besides regular classroom instruction, Doniphan-Trumbull Elementary School has a variety of programs serving students in English as a Second Language (ELL), Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Title I/IIA, High Ability Learner, News Bowl, Quiz Bowl, Art, Music, PE,  has an elementary Student Council for 4-6 graders, and has a Counselor to meet the needs of students for a variety of reasons.

The involvement and support of parents through TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More) helps create an emphasis of family and school having fun together. Doniphan-Trumbull places a high priority on the family and community as partners in fostering a climate of caring relationships and shared commitment in the education of children. TEAM’s yearly fundraiser dollars go towards improving classroom instruction, technology advances and playground improvements.

The learning focus for students includes an emphasis in the development of effective skills for reading, writing, and math through technology enhanced instruction. Teachers have developmentally appropriate learning activities for children at every grade level that builds a foundation for learning and retaining information.
