First Grade Goes To The State Fair!
September 08, 2010
The first graders had a fabulous time at the State Fair in Grand Island on Thursday, September 7th. They loved Hedrick's Racing PIgs, Vox Audio, Pirates of the Caribbean High Dive Show and many other activities in the Kid's Zone. They also enjoyed watching Mrs. Metz shear a sheep, the men washing and brushing the Clydesdale horses, marching behind the Doniphan-Trumbull marching band, and petting the newborn piglets, lambs, calves, alpacas, goats and the dalmation dog. Unfortunately, we ran out of time and couldn't see it all! We were so glad many of the kids got to go to the fair with their parents and share some of the exciting events. All in all, we had a GRAND time and hope to go again next year!
