FCCLA Members "Relay for Life"
D-T FCCLA participated the Hall County Relay for Life June 18-19. The Relay for Life started at dusk and ended the next morning. The light and darkness of the day and night parallel the physical effects, emotions, and mental state of a cancer patient while undergoing treatment. The FCCLA Relay chairman, Sarah D. commented that she plans to continue to be involved in the Relay in the future as she believes in the cause to find a cure for cancer and the importance of community involvement. Derek F. was impressed with the number of participants in the survivor's lap. Katie P. was touched with the number of luminaries lining the track. Each luminary is a tribute to those lost to cancer and to honor those still fighting.
Thank you to the D-T staff for participating in "Denim Day" to raise money for the Relay. Thank you to community members who purchased luminaries.
