D-T Teachers Arterburn, Osler, Heath, Sears, Utecht, and Ott Present at NETA

On April 29, 2010 several D-T staff members presented at the annual Nebraska Education Technology Association (NETA) conference held at the La Vista Embassy Suites and Conference Center. Their session was titled Technology...Take It Outside and included information about classroom projects from the 5th-9th grades at Doniphan-Trumbull Public School.
The Learning Web Team (LWT) members included Mrs. Utecht, Mrs. Sears, Mrs. Heath, Mrs. Osler, and Ms. Arterburn. Mrs. Ott served as a support system when needed. The challenges addressed by the LWT included the following:
- Take something we already do and make it better using technology.
- Use technology to broaden our classrooms.
- Collaborate with others outside of the classroom
- Take learning outside of a single curricular lesson
Throughout this school year, these teachers and LWT members have led student learning into a new arena and beyond the four walls of the classroom. By collaborating and using creativity with available technologies, these teachers have opened up student learning to an audience larger than themselves.
