A Game For Everyone
Last we heard our D-T golfers were improving with every swing of the club.
Coach Foster is very proud of these athletes and how they have excelled at this gentlemen's game.
Loup City Invite medals were handed out to Cory Telecky 11th-89, Derek Johnson 12th-89, and Dylan Stewart 13th-93. The team took 4th place overall with a score of 369.
Next the boys headed to Clay Center where Derek Johnson took FIRST place, setting a new school record with a score of 75. Cory Telecky took 3rd place-79 and Jeremy Swanek placed 3rd in the J.V. division. Overall the team scored 324 to clinch first place.
The golfers then went to Sandy Creek for a match play event and won. WOW!!
At the Hastings S.C. Invite the team did not fair as well as they would have liked, but did end up with 10th place as a Team. Some of the scores were Cory Telecky-97, Nick Pusek-113, Andrew Schulte-113, Derek Johnson-90, & Dylan Stewart-88.
The Sutton Invite held a 2nd place finish for Derek Johnson with a great score of 79. Other scores were Cory Telecky-88, Andrew Schulte-92, Dylan Stewart-89, and Austin Remm-95. The Team as a whole placed 4th with a score of 348.
Off to the Lou Platte Conference Meet at Indianhead Golf Course (home course) where the golf team was amazing and TIED for 1st. Unfortunately, in the playoff they fell a tad short. Those that received medals were Derek Johnson-5th-77, Cory Telecky-6th-79, & Dylan Stewart-13th-83. Andrew Schulte shot an 84 and Austin Remm shot a 92. Great work gentlemen!!!
At the Doniphan-Trumbull Meet the Team was able to take a 2nd place finish with a 9-hole score of 174. Perfect score is 36 with the team scores as follows: Cory Telecky-44, Nick Pusek-47, Andrew Schulte-44, Derek Johnson-45, Dylan Stewart-47, Austin Remm-41, Andy Robb-65, Drew Skalka-51, Jeremy Swanek-50, Mason Fullerton-59, & Erik Glover-69.
Districts for the team will be on May 19th. If you get a chance come out and support them. Good Luck, we hope you all go to state.
